C2:AD Workshop – New developments: Cognitive-behavioural therapies for OCD.

Dr Jan van Niekerk.

Most clinicians are familiar with exposure and response prevention treatment and cognitive appraisal model CBT for OCD. However, many are not familiar with newer models such as inference-based therapy, metacognitive therapy and ACT.

The workshop will aim to clarify OCD DSM-5 diagnosis, update on new developments in the older treatment approaches and briefly introduce the new models. The aim is to equip clinicians with a more flexible vantage point and skill set for addressing a complex and very heterogenous disorder.

There will be a limited amount of copies of Dr Jan van Niekerk’s new book, A Clinician’s Guide to Treating OCD (New Harbinger, 2018), on sale at the workshop at a special rate of £20.
