Dr Tim Dalgleish (of the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit) was awarded a grant from the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit Scheme for “A Randomised Controlled Feasibility Trial of a Novel Transdiagnostic Psychological Intervention for Mood and Anxiety Disorders”.
With this, we developed a new psychological treatment for adult depression and anxiety disorders. This treatment (HARMONIC) treats the symptoms that are common to depression and anxiety, and incorporates the best available techniques from existing manual-based treatments into the one treatment package.
The study has now successfully recruited its first participants and trial has started!
