Funding has been obtained from the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit Scheme for a clinical trial at C2:AD of trauma-focused cognitive behaviour therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in young children aged 3-8 years old. The trial – PYCES (Parents and Young Children under Extreme Stress) – is now underway.
The service is initially being run as part of a pragmatic clinical trial in comparison to usual care.
